The value chain in four links

Most tools stop at the first link. UpBoard covers all four — that is how data becomes action.

The observation#

Your data is already in Odoo. The problem has never been the tool: it is the lack of intelligence between raw data and a concrete decision.

A dashboard shows you a declining curve. It does not tell you why. It does not tell you what to do. It does not do it for you.

UpBoard is built around a four-link value chain.

  1. Étape 1

    Visualisation

Dashboards, tables, charts. This is where most BI tools stop.

  2. Étape 2

    Interpretation

Understanding what the numbers mean in your business context, seasonality, and history.

  3. Étape 3

    Recommendation

Identifying high-impact actions, prioritising them, and quantifying them in euros.

  4. Étape 4

    Action

Execution in your ERP — after your validation. PO draft, prepared email, min/max adjustment.

UpBoard does not reinvent the dashboard. If you already use Power BI, Metabase, or Odoo views, keep them. Our Health Score (domain overview) is included but it is not our core value proposition.

What classic BI does: curves, bars, maps. You hunt for the insight yourself.

This is where it gets interesting. For every figure flagged, the agent explains why it is abnormal:

  • "Your sales are down 12% this month — but it is seasonal; your 2024 and 2025 history showed the same dip at the same date"
  • "Your margin on category X is falling — analysis traces an 8% purchase price increase from supplier Y on 14 March"
  • "Your DSO is rising — concentrated on three customers who represent 60% of receivables"

That interpretation draws on 12 to 24 months of your history, not generic rules.

The agent does not say "all good" or "watch out". It proposes concrete, prioritised, euro-quantified actions:

  • "Follow up first on these five dormant quotes (€67,500 potential revenue)"
  • "Adjust min/max on these twelve items (frees €23,000 cash)"
  • "Missing legal mentions on eight customer invoices from March (estimated tax risk: €3,200 + potential penalties)"

This is the link consulting firms charge a premium for.

Once you accept a recommendation, the agent executes in Odoo:

  • Creates a purchase order draft with the right supplier
  • Drafts the follow-up email, ready to send
  • Applies the new min/max settings
  • Notifies the relevant team

Always after human validation. No outbound action is ever triggered without your explicit consent. Read our commitment.

Architecture at a glance#

For technical profiles:

  • Backend: LangGraph orchestrates agents, FastAPI exposes the API, PostgreSQL + TimescaleDB + Qdrant for persistence
  • Multi-LLM routing: Claude Sonnet for complex reasoning, Claude Haiku for fast tasks, fallbacks to other providers
  • Odoo connection: custom CLI connector (Redis cache) with MCP server fallback
  • Scheduling: Temporal.io for recurring workflows (weekly scan, smart alerts four times per day)
  • Hosting: Infomaniak Belgium, tenant isolation by PostgreSQL schema
